How a custom build works
- Tell us the use. Who will use it, what goes inside, and where the power comes from.
- Choose the base unit. Size, standard or high cube, new or used.
- Get a quote. We price the base unit plus each modification and give you a timeline.
- Build and deliver. The finished unit is delivered to your site.
Permits and planning
Offices and other spaces people occupy, and units wired for power, often need permits. Rules vary by city and county, so check with your local building department before you order. A high cube base leaves more headroom after insulation, which matters for spaces people work in all day.

Questions and answers
How much does an office conex cost?
It depends on the size, the base unit and the modifications. Every build is quoted from the base unit plus each change, so a simple door costs far less than a fully fitted office.
Can I modify a container myself?
You can, but cutting openings weakens the structure, so frame them properly, and use a licensed electrician for wiring. Many buyers have the openings cut professionally and finish the inside themselves.
What size is best for a container office?
A 10ft suits one or two people, a 20ft two to four, and a 40ft a team with a meeting area or storage at one end.
Can conex containers be joined together?
Yes. Modular builds join or stack several units, but they need engineering and usually permits, so plan them with a professional.
